The USA Immigration Initiation: A "Reality" Show Comes to the Interpreters Theatre April 19

Posted on Tuesday, April 17th, 2012

USA Immigration Initiation: A "Reality" Show will be performed on Thursday, April 19 at 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. in the Interpreters Theatre. The show is a 35-minute project devised and performed by Josh Hamzehee, Jorge De Leon, and Yaw Kyeremateng, with Sofia Seleger also performing. In the show, three representatives from different countries share their perspectives and journeys to becoming American.  Through their use of humor, satire, and reality-TV-style scenarios, these "illegal aliens" raise awareness about current immigration concerns and break down misconceptions about those who risk everything to come to America.

Dr. Karen Mitchell will be leading a short (10-15 min.) talk-back at the end of each performance, so the total time is less than an hour.
